The first hard problem

There were two friends solving a math problem. One was named Bob and the other Joe. The math problem was: 2+11*4.

Bob does the problem and he ignores the order of operations and he does the problem left to right and gets the wrong answer. Joe does the problem and uses the order of operations and he gets the right answer.

If b=Bob’s answer and j=Joe’s answer, what is b – j ?

(A) 4  (B) 2  (C) 5  (D) 6  (E) 8

Answer in the comment area. I will release the answers next week.
